The following
questions raised by students over the years, together with the replies, will help
to clarify points not specifically covered elsewhere on this site.
If you have any
questions, or would like to book some training please make contact
using the telephone number at the bottom of this page. |
-
Regarding the price of the lessons you mention £20-00 per hour, are there
any additional costs:-
This is the rate to provide private tuition at your home, if I
need to travel more than 5 miles to get to you, then there may be an
additional £5.00 per lesson to cover the travelling cost and time.
-
When and how do I pay for the lessons:-
Payment is normally made at the completion of each
lesson with cash or cheque - special arrangements can be made for
intensive courses, so all the lessons are paid for at one time.
-
What about Police Access Clearance:-
Yes, I have
been fully assessed by the Directors of Hairnet Computer Training (Digital
Unite) -
Suitable references and a Police Access Clearance document are available
- rest assured you will be in safe hands.
-
What is the age range of your Students:-
This is not an issue. I have taught students
from 12 years old, to many in their 80's
-
Do you supply course notes:-
No - I provide a small Notebook
for each student and during the lesson make specific notes on action being
taken, as required - students can then reflect on these after the lessons
- I have found students benefit from this more personal approach, rather
than just handing over pages of standard course notes
-
Would you teach two people in the same session:-
Yes, this is the case with a number of
my students. We can discuss this during the first session. If the learning
requirements for the husband and wife or the partners are similar, then it
should work fine.
-
What sort of guarantee do you offer:-
Well, if you not satisfied with the
training you receive during a lesson, I would not expect to receive any
payment for that lesson.
-
During the lessons you have explained the meaning of certain computer
jargon, as the various topics were discussed. Is there a web site that could
further help me
decode computer jargon:-
Yes, there are: try
www.webopedia.com or
www.computeractive.co.uk and click the Jargon Buster link.
